The patch has been committed upstream in the meanwhile, see
https://github.com/ft/zsh/commit/4414e54ea7ffe50acca851c11c2ef49dc867c55d

This is very likely a candidate to cherry-pick from upstream. Testers
and test reports still welcome, though!
