Thanks for the bug report and for refering to the according upstream
bug-report/thread. This seems to be fixed now upstream in this commit:

Fix windowsize when reattaching to terminal on process exit
Depending if there will be a 5.6.2 until the next zsh upload to Debian
or not, I will cherry-pick this commit into the package.
