Indeed, that channel so far was on Freenode despite it was a
debian-related channel.

Same preference here.

I'm not sure why, but while I do like the strong focus on being a
non-profit network, I really dislike their narrow view and
restrictions on channel names. I don't really want to open any channel
in their network. Too much potential for conflicts and frustration due
to bureaucracy...
