Package: popularity-contest
Version: 1.8
Severity: important

Hi,

I got:
Setting up popularity-contest (1.8) ...
dpkg: error processing popularity-contest (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 30
Errors were encountered while processing:
 popularity-contest

The root of the problem:
[ snip: it looks Boolean.pm and Boolean.pmc all over the place ]
2057 stat64("./Debconf/Element/Noninteractive/Boolean.pmc", 0xbfffefd0) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
2057 open("./Debconf/Element/Noninteractive/Boolean.pm", O_RDONLY|O_LARGEFILE) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
2057 write(7, "30 question skipped\n", 20 <unfinished ...>
2063 <... read resumed> "3", 1) = 1
[ snip: some unrelated lines ]
2063 exit_group(30) = ?
2057 <... write resumed> ) = 20
2057 --- SIGCHLD (Child exited) @ 0 (0) ---

Sure, I do not have Noninteractive/Boolean.pm anywhere, but I set the
frontend to Dialog, and I got the question if I want to update the
obsolete email address - chose yes, and some moments later postint
failed. Still fails with 'dpkg --configure -a'. I think this bug may be
in debconf, but haven't noticed problems with other packages.
