Hi!

My popcon report contains a extra space character on end of every
package line except it ends with <RECENT-CTIME> or <OLD>.

The deleting of this saves some space and network traffic.
Before:
-rw-r--r--  1 es users 74155 2005-02-17 23:07 popularity-contest

After:
-rw-r--r--  1 es users 72738 2005-02-17 23:14 popularity-contest

Saving 2% is no big thing, but it's worth to think about it.
I don't know python, so I could not provide a patch, sorry.
