No, it is not intended.
I guess you talk about heigth compacity, not width.
The style came from the main website and I made some modifications,
not specially on spacing. However, I added subtitles (so spaces before
and after) and some space to separate download links from the next
label in the 'Download' section. We could change them to a list: I
think it will be more compact. Could this fix your problem?
