Package: popularity-contest
Version: 1.63
Severity: serious
User: debian-qa at lists.debian.org
Usertags: piuparts

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package failed to install. As
per definition of the release team this makes the package too buggy for
a release, thus the severity.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

  Selecting previously unselected package popularity-contest.

  Setting up popularity-contest (1.63) ...
  /var/lib/dpkg/info/popularity-contest.postinst: 46: /var/lib/dpkg/info/popularity-contest.postinst: cannot create /etc/cron.d/popularity-contest: Directory nonexistent
dpkg: error processing package popularity-contest (--configure):
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2
  Errors were encountered while processing:
   popularity-contest

Ship the missing directory in the package, s.t. dpkg takes care of creation and removal.

cheers,

Andreas
