[Python-apps-team] backports & svn-buildpackage

Hello,

I'm going to create backport for one of my packages maintained in
PAPT.

Is there good way to keep the backports' changes in the svn? I'd create
packages/<name>/branches/backports, but I don't know how to painlessly
update this branch as new upstream versions are released and then
backported.
