Hi,

Thanks for the bug report.

I can't reproduce it :

# /usr/bin/rdiff-backup -V
rdiff-backup 1.2.8

Could you try to uninstall and reinstall with : 

# aptitude update && aptitude remove --purge rdiff-backup && aptitude
install rdiff-backup

This is not an important bug, Rdiff-backup works properly anyway, even
if ninjathingie does not.
