Package: sonata
Version: 1.6.2.1-5
Severity: important
Tags: upstream
Dear Maintainer,
when I want to use the artist/album view from the library in Sonata it is not
possible because the application won't react and freeze and I am forced to
restart the program. The worst is if Sonata is crashing and somehow reminds the
last state, in a loop for trying to display the artists from my library it even
won't open the next time but just displaying a waiting cursor and I have to
kill the program. Then to make Sonata working again I have to delete the sonata
config directory.
My expectation was the possibilty to see my artists/albums just like genres.
Genres is working but with a delay.
I think this is a longstanding upstream bug as I had this behavior also under
Squeeze. I am sorry to bother with it because it seems that Sonata is also
quite abandoned at the moment. Not sure if there is a workaround for this
problem as I said, the support for Sonata is nowhere to find at present.
