Confirming bug and patch. This actually renders svnmailer useless in wheezy 
and jessie (and sid, but according to the upstream homepage, a new upstream 
release will be needed for supporting subversion 1.7).

Let's see how we can get this fixed. svnmailer is both team maintained and 
orphaned ...
