Thanks for the report!

S3QL is fine. The self test does not work when ran as root, because it
relies on *not* being able to write into directories without write
permission.

Fixed upstream in
https://bitbucket.org/nikratio/s3ql/commits/bdbc53ce1227b218d0ba39cb6866d13bedade36c

If you look further up in the test log, you can see that the same test
succeeds when not ran as root.
