I think there is a bigger issue with the installation of the icons.

IMVHO, the gtimelog.png icon should be installed
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/ (in addition to
/usr/share/gtimelog/) and gtimelog-large.png should be installed in
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/256x256/apps/

AFAIK, /usr/share/pixmaps/ is more or less a deprecated location and the
icons could be removed from there.
