[Python-apps-team] Bug#919058: itstool maintainer's help needed

Hi Tanguy,

I am not sure if you are aware of this RC bug for itstool:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=919058

The impact of this bug is that several projects FTBFS during creation  
of translation files.

The upstream commit that introduced this behaviour has been located already:
https://github.com/itstool/itstool/commit/d3adf0264ee2b6fd28b7eff7dec33501d6e75a7c

Can you work on this issue soon enough for buster? Or is help needed?  
(Not that I have a clue about what itstool does, but well...).
