[Python-apps-team] Kazam UX improvments

Hello Kazam team,

there are some aspects of Kazam that seem to require improvement, for
getting the best use out of it.

One main problem is the absence of persistent shortcut settings, most
importantly, to start/stop recording or grabbing a screenshot, which
makes controlling Kazam unnecessarily impractical.

The current implementation requires either a click on the main app
panel, or 2 clicks on the tray icon to start recording, while stopping
is only possible with 2 clicks via tray icon.

Even more irritating and bothersome: the tray icon is in the rightmost
upper/lower screen corner, while the panel popping up after right click
appears on the leftmost corner (Debian 11 Cinnamon).

Intuitively, you'd expect one single start/stop button on a main panel,
which but disappears at the start of recording, even when rendered on a
screen different from the currently selected one - which is another
aspect where Kazam lacks: the missing of an option to pre-select from
which screen to record or grab.

Also, you'll expect a drop-down menu appearing exactly under the clicked
tray icon, not in a different corner (which is obviously a bug).

Even more intuitive and practical would be, to use the icon itself as a
start/stop (or pause) recording button and manage all settings from its
right click menu.

Settings should always get persisted/saved, which currently doesn't seem
to be the case, e.g. for an alternatively selected audio source, which
is reset each time the program exits.

A problem when recording from screen seems to be a certain choppyness
(i. e. to low or inconsistent frame rate), which becomes obvious, when
trying to record a fast-paced animation scene, e. g. from games.

All in all, Kazam is a nice little, yet simple tool, which just needs
some details worked out.

Thanks for your efforts!

yuki
