python3 port, how to contribute

There already is. A patch which enables python3 compatibility is already posted to the mailing list.
It's available here: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/python-daemon-devel/2013-August/000029.html.
For some reason the attachment is called attachment.bin, but it's actually the patch.
