do you mean that the bug appears only in version 1.2.2b1, or is it fixed
in this version?

in general, you should always open a debian bugreport if any version in
debian unstable/testing/stable is affected by the bug.

if the bug exists only in newer versions than the ones in debian, a
debian bugreport is not appropriate.
