I have python-setuptools 0.6c3-3 installed.  Compiling python-mysqldb
fails with the following message:

 --- Compiling for python2.4
 The required version of setuptools (>=0.6c5) is not available, and
 can't be installed while this script is running. Please install
 a more recent version first.

The source package build-depends on python-setuptools without version
number specification.
