That's probably some remains from upgrading. I have this:
$ dpkg -l | grep ipython
ii ipython 0.8.1-2
enhanced interactive Python shell

Cool.

Yes, I think it's a good idea.
Generally, sympy needs to work in pure python, but optionally, it works
nice with some other packages, that make the life easier and since we
are in Debian,
let's recommend them.
I'll do it in the next upload.
