[Python-modules-team] Bug#490992: python-matplotlib: Many dependencies

Package: python-matplotlib
Severity: wishlist

Are you sure that all these dependencies are absolutely necessary to run
matplotlib? If not, could you please move some of them (for example: tex,
tcl, tk,...) to recommends? IMHO, 113MB is too much.

The following NEW packages will be installed: blt{a} dvipng{a}
  libkpathsea4{a} libt1-5{a} python-configobj{a} python-dateutil{a}
  python-dev{a} python-enthought-traits{a} python-excelerator{a}
  python-glade2{a} python-matplotlib python-matplotlib-data{a}
  python-pyparsing{a} python-tk{a} python-tz{a} python2.5-dev{a} tcl8.4{a}
  tetex-bin{a} tex-common{a} texlive{a} texlive-base{a} texlive-base-bin{a}
  texlive-common{a} texlive-doc-base{a} texlive-fonts-recommended{a}
  texlive-latex-base{a} texlive-latex-recommended{a} tk8.4{a}
Need to get 33,4MB of archives. After unpacking 113MB will be used.

Regards,

Vedran
