I usually use '-iIv --pedantic' and here I got

$ lintian --version
Lintian v2.2.10

remember to build and test your package against an up-to-date unstable
system (or chroot, it's the same).

cdbs is black magic, while debhelper is a more clearer and
straightforward system, IMO.
