For example:

$ /usr/share/doc/python-xdg/examples/test-desktop.py /usr/share/applications/python2.5.desktop 
ValidationError in file '/usr/share/applications/python2.5.desktop': 
- Key 'Version' is missing
- Key 'Encoding' is missing 

However, according to the 1.0 specification:
- Version is optional;
- Encoding is deprecated.

Because lintian is complaining about the Encoding key[1], I am inflating 
severity of this bug to normal.
