Unfortunately, I'm unable to reproduce this:
zack at usha:/tmp/crap$ dpkg -l python-markdown |tail -n 1
un python-markdown <none> (no description available)
zack at usha:/tmp/crap$ python setup.py --help-commands|head -n 1
Standard commands:
zack at usha:/tmp/crap$
... nor I've found any (transitive) reference from TG2 to Markdown,
looking around in .egg files. Are you sure the dependency did not come
from some usage that your specific project was doing of Markdown? Or
maybe some of its transitive dependencies? Having the generated .egg of
your project might shed some light on this ...
