I believe this is issue in googlecl. Python-gdata Docs API was
slightly changed in 2.0.15 – 2.0.16, and all apps using it need to be
ported to the new API. I e-mailed all maintainers of rdepends when I
was uploading this version.

The Docs module itself works, for example it's used in retext package
(and works fine for now).

The upstream bug is in "Accepted" state, so it's not fixed yet.
