The package name is python-$something, so I assumed that the main 
functionality is provided by the public Python modules. The modules 
don't have any dependency problems AFAICS.

If the script is the main reason users install this package (I have no 
idea whether this is the case or not), then:
a) the package name is a bit silly;
b) severity should be indeed serious.
