Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

* Package name    : python-tidy
  Version         : 1.23
  Upstream Author : Charles Curtis Rhode <CRhode at LacusVeris.com>
* URL             : http://lacusveris.com/PythonTidy/
* License         : GPL-2+
  Programming Lang: Python
  Description : Python script indenter and reformatter

PythonTidy is intended to encapsulate the wisdom revealed in:

   Rossum, Guido van, and Barry Warsaw. "PEP 8: Style Guide for Python
   Code." 23 Mar. 2006. Python.org. 28 Nov. 2006
   <http://www.python.org/dev/peps/pep-0008/>.

Python scripts are usually so good looking that no beautification is
required. However, from time to time, it may be necessary to alter the style
to conform to changing standards. PythonTidy converts programs in a
consistent way. It abstracts the pretty presentation of the symbolic code
from the humdrum process of writing it and getting it to work.
