[Python-modules-team] Bug#728323: python-virtualenv: Version 1.7.1.2-2 (from wheezy) does not work with python2.7.5 (from jessie)

Hi,

I just upgraded Python from the version in wheezy to the version in
jessie (somewhat unintentionally) and virtualenv started producing
cryptic error messages.  I wouldn't expect them to work together
(necessarily), but should the dependencies have avoided my
getting in to this situation at all?
