debian/copyright mentions only the following as Authors:
 - Paul Barrett <barrett at stsci.edu>
 - JC Hsu <hsu at stsci.edu>

pyfits-3.1.2/PKG-INFO mentions also the following contributors: 
Christopher Hanley, James Taylor, Michael Droettboom, Erik M. Bray

Perhaps it would make sense to add them to copyright file as well.
