Hi and thank you for packaging this library.
Can you please provide a documentation (python-git-doc) package as well?

Also, the current binary package ships a copy of jquery.js in:
 /usr/share/doc/python-git/_static/jquery.js

By the way, the homepage is set to http://gitorious.org/projects/git-python/
while it should be http://gitorious.org/git-python/
