[Python-modules-team] Bug#726980: new upstream release

Upstream has released 2.1.2 in the meantime. Since python-statsd has 
been removed from testing due to an RC bug it would be great if you 
could fix these issues.

I have a local package fixing both bugs, if you want to I can send you 
the diff. The namespace collision in #736256 is unfortunate though, but 
I don't think there is anything to be done about it (other than 
documenting the fact).
