Source: python-cffi
Version: 0.8.1-1
Severity: normal
User: autopkgtest-devel at lists.alioth.debian.org
Usertags: autopkgtest

Hello,

At the moment python-cffi uses 75% of the storage on ci.debian.net. The other
25% is occupied by other 280 packages, plus global index data files.

$ sudo du -sh /var/lib/debci/data
6.6G    /var/lib/debci/data
$ sudo du -sh /var/lib/debci/data/unstable-amd64/packages/p/python-cffi
5.0G    /var/lib/debci/data/unstable-amd64/packages/p/python-cffi

In the beginning, it was generating ~160MB of log for each test run, but in the
last run it generated a log file that was almost 3GB!

$ du -sh *.log | sort -h | tail
164M    2014-02-12.log
164M    2014-02-17.log
164M    2014-02-21.log
164M    2014-02-23.log
164M    2014-03-20.log
164M    2014-03-23.log
165M    2014-02-25.log
165M    2014-02-26.log
165M    2014-03-07.log
2.8G    2014-03-30.log

For this reason, I am blacklisting python-cffi from ci.debian.net. I
will remove its data from there in 1 week (the tests have never passed
anyway), please let me know you plan to download it but need more time.

For your reference, I am attaching the history data file.

Please make sure the test suite generates a reasonable amount of output,
while still being useful for someone who is reading the log.
