Christian, see the patch for ppc64el in Ubuntu (diff to file
"ppc64el_cpu_config.patch"):

It adds other changes, I think that all related to floating point.  It
would be good if you or other people with experience in the low level
details of the architecture could provide more information to this bug
report, and thus a more complete/correct patch than the one that I
provided.
