Thanks to those who asked for an explanation.
In brief: nothing in this announcement asks anyone to interrupt the
Jessie freeze. I've addressed this with a clarification followup

Public classes in << 0.9 were re-named in 0.9. The attempt at
providing backward compatibility is insufficient (the names that did
refer to classes now refer to factory functions only).

for those who are interested.
