I'm unsure myself if there's supposed to be some kind of convention
for branching for different releases; I usually track sid in trunk and
have a separate directory in branches for experimental or backports
branches, etc. Whatever works for you, I suppose.

Of course, this will all be moot once (if?) we migrate from svn to git, right?
