In Mandos, it was easy enough to forgo the use of the python-gnutls
module entirely and simply write our own pseudo-module which calls the
GnuTLS library direcly through ctypes, so that's what we did.

On the other hand, there seems to be some upstream activity -
Python-GnuTLS 3.0.0 was released on March 9th, claiming to support
GnuTLS 3.2 and later.
