Package: python-feedparser
Version: 5.1.3-3
Severity: wishlist
Even though upstream is not very active, there *is* a new release
available (5.2.1) which is not included into Debian:
https://github.com/kurtmckee/feedparser/blob/develop/NEWS#L14
Unfortunately, it seems the newer version from the `devel` branch may
be needed for 3.5 support. As it stands now, 5.2.1 works fine in
Python 3.5 here.
Note that there's an ongoing discussion regarding upstream maintenance
of Feedparser. If DDs are interested, this might be an opportunity to
get involved in that development:
https://github.com/kurtmckee/feedparser/issues/108
In any case, I think 5.2.1 should be shipped in Debian. There's even a
debian/changelog entry ready for it in SVN - is there anything holding
up that upload?
A.
