Looks like more fallout from
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=893844
but in this case presumably it'll need sourceful changes.

codesearch.debian.net suggests that this might be a more widespread
problem (but hopefully not all the search hits are release-critical).
