The FTBFS bugs are fixed, in the sense that I have redone the build
system reflecting all the changes that have happened to the parent
libraries, and the basic build sequence runs without error. However, the
resultant object doesn't actually work (yet).

I'll upload it iff I can get something working before the freeze dates.
