Meanwhile, I am sorry to report that<br />
kpackage didn't work properly even after<br />
I installed pycurl 7.19.0-1;<br />
now it shows a few packages but not all.<br />
This is really a pity.<br />
If kpackage works it is far better than synaptic.<br />
