I'd say 'probably', however we are currently setting it to the same value on
purpose in our scripts. Then (on unstable and experimental, but not on
buster) we vary BUILDDIR, which is an internal pbuilder variable.

maybe hardcoding /tmp is the real problem here? (Which can be easily
detected by lintian...)
