From jay at jp-hosting.net Wed Mar 11 10:56:22 2026 From: jay at jp-hosting.net (James Addison) Date: Wed, 11 Mar 2026 10:56:22 +0000 Subject: Bug#1130337: reproducible: failed builds and slow scheduling from early 2026-03. Message-ID: <177322658266.12974.10534404209714080471.reportbug@localhost> Package: jenkins.debian.org Dear Maintainer, As also mentioned in #debian-reproducible (2026-03-03 around 11:30am UTC), there seems to have been a large number of build failures - seemingly infrastructure failures, so not exactly FTBFS - for Debian packages displayed on the tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian website since early March 2026. Some potential clues: - On Feb 25th a maintenance job[1] took an unexpectedly long time to complete; more than four hours compared to a usual few minutes. - The index breakages[2] webpage charts display a large number of diffoscope failures; some in early Feb, and then another peak of these towards the end of Feb. At the time of writing, builds are occurring again although at a low rate (a few builds per day). Thanks, James [1] - https://jenkins.debian.net/job/reproducible_maintenance_amd64_jenkins/41077/consoleFull [2] - https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/index_breakages.html From holger at layer-acht.org Wed Mar 11 12:35:40 2026 From: holger at layer-acht.org (Holger Levsen) Date: Wed, 11 Mar 2026 12:35:40 +0000 Subject: Bug#1130337: reproducible: failed builds and slow scheduling from early 2026-03.
