Hi ftpmasters,
when I uploaded some r-* packages with dependencies between each other
to new queue I used to give some hints about the dependency on IRC. I'm
currently uploading another set of packages with a network of
dependencies. These are belonging to a set of dependencies for
r-cran-brms which is needed to upgrade r-cran-emmeans to the latest
upstream version.
Since I'm afraid the information via IRC might become complex and hard
to maintain I refresh my hints with the following rule: When working on
r-* packages please work top down the new queue (first r-* package in
should be first r-* package out). Please do not pick from end or middle
of the queue when you enjoy checking any r-* package which was uploaded
by me. This should ensure that dependencies will be accepted before a
package that might need another package from the queue.
In case the top package would deserve a reject: It might be sensible to
tag it "more info" or so to make sure it will stay on top and I might
upload a fixed package with bumped Debian revision to keep the said
sequence in order.
Kind regards and thanks for your work as ftpmaster
Andreas.
