Subject: Reproducible Builds sprint in December 2016 in Berlin

Hi,

in December 2016 we'll be having a Reproducible Builds summit in Berlin,
for three days from December 13 to 15, with >50 attendees from 20
projects and a lot of them will be Debian people.

The event URL is at https://reproducible-builds.org/events/berlin2016/
though I also created a page in the sprints namespace on the Debian wiki
at https://wiki.debian.org/Sprints/2016/ReproducibleBuildsSummit2016.

to quote from the first URL:

The exact content of the meeting will be shaped by the participants, but
here are the main goals:

Update & exchange about the status of reproducible builds in various
	projects.
Improve collaboration both between and inside projects.
Expand the scope and reach of reproducible builds to more projects.
Work together and hack on solutions.
Brainstorm designs on tools enabling end-users to get the most
	benefits from reproducible builds.

--- end quote ---

Not specially noted there, we will obviously also discuss stuff we can
still do for Stretch, but mostly focus on longer term plans for Buster.

As previously discussed with leader at debian.org we are asking for up to
7000 USD for reimbursements of travel and accomodation costs of Debian
contributors. (Do you need a more detailed overview now?

Mehdi, can you please formally+publically approve this?

The meeting will also be sponsored by OTF (OpenTechFoundation), who
are paying for our facilitators (moderators), the Linux Foundation
who will be covering travel+accomodation costs of some attendees
(Debian and others) and Google who will be paying for the venue and
food and drinks for the attendees.
