The right contact point is wb-team at buildd.debian.org or alternatively
the mailing list wb-team at lists.debian.org.

We have merged all of our patches except one that disable the init
script at the time of the Jessie release. The patches that have been
added later in this branch are just cherry-picks from the master branch.

Once Stretch is released, we'll indeed do the same process.

I don't know what is the issue you are talking about. If there is a
patch available (preferably committed first to the master branch), we
might be able to cherry-pick it.
