Well, of course! However, when I attempted to reproduce Holger's crash in
early Jan the images I downloaded were definitely different:

In fact, I think still have them around in a temporary directory:

  $ sha1sum base-*
  d8b1bf76b84e4095260b26096539f0c4e949393a  base-a.tgz
  52dd1d6cb1401d5d72ba6d081097b414a9a09aff  base-b.tgz

So, given:

  a) We can no longer reproduce the crash with the above files from
     10th Jan.

  b) The NetBSD images are reproducible (so we are unlikely to find
     crashers as you detail)

… we have no concrete next step on this bug, so I'm going to proactively
close it. Thanks all!
