Hi all,

Disclosure time - I am not a coder.

I am helping an upstream project mars-sim [1] . The actual source-code
while atm remains at sourceforge.net [2] but hopefully will be
migrated sooner rather than later [3] . Now about a month back, just
to see what lintian says about the generated package, ran it on the
.deb package and got few warnings [4] .

During the back and forth , came to know that the .deb is generated
from a tool called jdeb [5] . Had a look-see and saw that Debian also
has the same tool [6] .

Now comes the crucial question, what should I tell them is the way
ahead ? Should the most recent release of jdeb in Debian be good
enough or some other way ?

Looking forward to know.
