Bug#897442: reprotest timeouts while installing the build-dependencies

Package: reprotest
Version: 0.7.7
Severity: important
Dear Maintainers,
I'm trying to run reprotest on a i386 sbuild chroot from an amd64
system. The package I'm trying to build is ’flif’. While building with
sbuild works fine, reprotest fails while installing the build
dependencies within the chroot. I'm using the same chroot for sbuild and
reprotest, launching it like this:
reprotest --vary=-build_path --auto-build flif_0.3-1.dsc -- schroot unstable-i386-sbuild
(I'm following https://wiki.debian.org/ReproducibleBuilds/Howto#Newer_method)
This is how it fails:
https://paste.debian.net/1022959/
The exact point where the "Caught signal ‘Terminated’" line appears
varies slightly in different runs, it is not bound to the specific
package being installed.
Let me know if I can be of further help.
