[Resolvconf-devel] Bug#339418: Got bitten by this bug

Hi

I got bitten by this bug for last 48 hrs and the simple fix (of
commenting out the line in unique... () function) did do the trick.
However, I was not happy about the process.

I understand the design rationale Thomas mentions but I just wish there
is a better way to do this. It is not good to completely break things
(aka put truncated /etc/resolv.conf). It sent me on a wild chase on the
net to track this down and cost 48hrs of stress.

Please do something to warn people when they configure this package of
its (libc script) behavior which you argue as a design choice.
