[sane-devel] hp6300C usb causes segmentation fault

I have a working debian 2.2 (stable) system (kernel 2.2.17pre6-1)
with running usb after applying backport patch
usb-2.4.0-test2-pre2-for-2.2.16-v3.diff
E.g. my usb printer lexmark z52 works well.

After installing sane 1.05 I get:

kruemel:~/install/sane# scanimage -d hp:/dev/usbscanner0
Segmentation fault

or:

SANE_DEBUG_DLL=3 scanimage -d hp:/dev/usbscanner0 
....

Has anybody got an idea how to solve this?
