[sane-devel] 2.4.16 freeze on opening /dev/usb/scanner0

Hi,

it seems the scanner driver in recent kernels is broken. There is a bugfix 
from David Nelson available (http://www.jump.net/~dnelson/linux/usb/), but I 
haven't tried it yet.
